in Adopted Shibas

Chief is a 6 yr old Red Shiba Inu that is located in Jacksonville and looking for a new home. His owner has had him since a puppy and can no longer care for him. At the perfect age, Chief has gotten over all the puppy shenanigans but still has the energy of young dog as well as the couch potato time when you are ready to relax. He is up to date on his vaccines and is neutered already! Chief has never been around kids or cats so a home without either is probably the best for him. He seems to be good with other dogs after proper introduction. Best would be an older dog that is more laid back and not in his face. The perfect sized Shiba at 26lbs he will fit in to any type of house, apartment, home with a fenced in yard or a condo. Chief walks well on the leash and would love to explore with his new family. Would you like to bring Chief home and give him a chance at the perfect forever home. If you feel that Chief is the perfect fit please fill out our online adoption application on the forms tab at the top of this page! If you already have an application in and would like to be considered please contact us at apply@shibainurescueflorida.org

Hi, my wife and I have owned 5 Chow Chows over the last 30 years in Jacksonville. We lost our last this past July and currently have none. We have decided on Sheba Inu this time with their manageable weight class and similar characteristics we’ve decided it’s the best fit. We have a secure and safe home with a good sized fenced in yard. If he is in need still we would be a great fit for him as well.
