Katai-13yr old-Female

Katai says “Please don’t be put off on how I look as i am eating regularly and have had a bath and am getting real love now so I will look better soon!” “I have a lot of love still to give”
This sweet elderly girl was found wandering a field and was taken in by Animal Services. They contacted us and we arranged to go see her and then pick her up. She is a very sweet and loving dog and enjoys attention as she puts her nose in your hand for you to pet her. She is super quiet and has been sleeping in an open crate instead of the couch or floor. We have taken her to the vet and she is up to date on all her vaccinations and spayed. She also is house trained and seems to like cats and dogs. She is a bit underweight at 25lbs but probably won’t be more than about 28lbs.
The vet says she has arthritis in her back and hips so she doesn’t get around as well as she used to but we are giving her medication that will help her feel better. She also has some dermatitis with some hair loss but the hair is growing back nicely.
We have named her Katai which means HOPE is Japanese which seemed fitting as she had little hope before we heard about her. Please consider adopting Katai and giving her a place to call home for her last remaining time.
