in Adopted Shibas

UPDATE: Kenji is now Heartworm free and he has a new forever home with Corey and Emily in Miami! Kenji would love you to take him home and give you lots of Shiba kisses! Kenji is 3 yrs old and a spunky Shiba that needs to find a home near West Palm Beach or Jupiter so that his owners can take him back and forth for his Heart worm treatments. You see his previous owners did not give him his monthly heart worm prevention and he has contracted Heart worms. It is treatable and SIRF is paying for it but it is so preventable. Kenji is house trained, leash trained and weighs about 23 lbs. He is also up to date on all his vaccines and is neutered. Kenji can be adopted during his heart worm treatments to someone willing to bring him back and forth to the vet 3 times for his injections and then followups. All paid for by SIRF until he is heart worm negative. For more information on Kenji please email us at info@shibainurescueflorida.org.

Really looking to rescue a shiba. Here in Orlando for 3weeks. Live in BC Canada. Would definitely complete her treatments etc. at home. Retired. Love dogs and devoted. Had saved a pug and an Akita-Rottweiler cross. Had them for 12 years. Both gone now so looking for another family member.

I am a retired Palm Beach County Deputy. I had a german shorthaired pointer as a service dog for the past 13 years, she just passed and I want to give an older dog a chance at a great life. I have had Shiba’s, and they are very loyal. Kind of a dog all you need to add to the receipt is love. I don’t know the exact circumstances, but I rescued a dog in Charleston SC that had just gone through the Heartworm treatment. He lived for almost 13 years, EVEN WITH TREATMENT AND MONTH PILLS the heart worm came back and attacked his neurological system. Buit he had a great life.

unfortunately there is no guarantee with heartworms. So far the dogs we’ve treated have been healthy and strong to begin with. Please email us at info@shibainurescueflorida.org for an application if you are interested in adopting a rescue Shiba! Kenji has just had his first injection!

Hello! I’m very interested in giving Kenji a sweet, comfortable home. I’m currently living in Miami, FL. I’m heart broken with these heart worms he’s currently having to deal with, are they still there or have they gone away? If they are, I’m open arms!

Hello there! I’m interested in adopting this Shiba but, I live in Tampa. The comments said he had his last heartworm shot. So, I’m hoping to provide him a happy/clean home. Please let me know if he hasn’t found a family. Thank you!
