Adopted-Kona-9 yr old female Cream Shiba Inu

in Adopted Shibas

Kona may look familiar to you as she was a part of the rescue 4 years ago because she did not get along with the resident dog. Her adopter got married and there is not another dog in the household. We are on a mission for her to lose some weight to help her luxating patella! Her weight is elevated due to a thyroid condition and she does take a daily thyroid medication. We have gotten her thyroid level check and also all her blood work. Kona has lost almost 5 lbs and is moving around even better now. Kona is spayed, house trained, leash trained and looking for a home without animals or small children. Kona would be great for a couple or individual that is looking for a great companion for them in retirement or an older person/couple working from home. She would love to lay by your feet as you work or on the couch which you are hanging out watching tv. She is up to date on all her vaccines and preventatives. Kona is located in the Cape Canaveral area of Florida. She would do best in a home with a back yard as a stubborn Shiba she sometimes wants to walk and sometimes not although geting better now with the weight loss. Please fill out our online application found on the SIRF’s Forms tab at the top of this page if you are interested in adopting Kona!
