London has been through more in her four short years than most dogs experience in a lifetime — and she needs a safe place to land now.
This petite, absolutely precious Shiba Inu recently came to us in severe pain from extreme eye pressure. We immediately rushed her to our veterinary eye specialists, and she underwent surgery to relieve her suffering. The surgery was successful, and she is no longer in pain… but London is now blind.
And here’s what makes her extraordinary: She hasn’t let it stop her. Not for one second.
London runs. She plays. She seeks out her favorite person. She LOVES her toys and lights up when she’s in the yard. She is crate-trained, house-trained, and leash-trained. She adjusts beautifully and navigates her space with growing confidence.
Despite the upheaval and loss of vision, she remains sweet, playful, and trusting. But what London truly needs now is stability.
She has experienced too much change through no fault of her own. We were told she is pet-friendly by her previous owner, but believe she would flourish as the only pet for now in a patient, loving home where she can decompress, feel secure, and build trust at her own pace.
As with many Shibas, slow and respectful introductions are essential.
Blind dogs do not live lesser lives — they live differently. And with consistency and love, they thrive. We have seen it time and again. London deserves that chance.
She is up to date on vaccines and heartworm prevention and will have a follow-up appointment soon to officially clear her as a happy, healthy girl.

Right now, she needs a foster or foster-to-adopt home willing to be her safe harbor.
