in Adopted Shibas

Adopted-Bear, a 12 yr old, 30lb Shiba Inu is located in the Tampa area. He is super sweet and loves attention. Bear is good with other dogs although a little timid with energetic dogs but no aggression seen. He is good with cats also! Bear is housetrained although he does need to go out a bit more often than a younger dog. He is good with kids and people of all ages because he loves to be petted. Bear is ready to find his forever home where he can receive all the love he can handle! All vaccines are up to date! He is heartworm negative and on prevention for both fleas and heartworms! Can you give Bear a home? Please contact us at apply@shibainurescueflorida.org to get an application or more info on Bear!

Does Bear still need a forever home? I am an experienced dog owner and would love to meet this guy. I am in Tampa Bay Area. I currently have no pets.

We just lost our akita and our hearts/home have a really big hole. At our age I’ve been looking for an older dog that needs a home, would love to have a chance to meet your Bear. We’re retired and have a large fenced backyard with a doggie door for access.

Hello is bear still available to be adopted? It was always my dream to adopt a older dog and give him the love he needs. I have had two shibas in the past. Although I don’t have any pets right now I was looking for an old dog to love and care for. Please let me know. Thank you.

Hello, I have had two wonderful shibas in the past, and feel like I know the breed very well. We live in Tampa and could give bear a good home. We do have 3 cats, but it appears he good with cats. Both of my previous shibas were great with cats. I really love Shibas and would love to help this guy of you’re still looking for a furever home.

My husband and I sent an inquiry about Bear 2 weeks ago. We know there is an open house for him today(?) and are seriously interested. A neighbor has a Shiba, and we stopped to talk with him about the dog. Since then, we have talked many times and are interested in parenting our own Shiba. Our Cocker Spaniel died 2 years ago, and we are ready for a new canine companion to enjoy retired life in The Villages– golf car rides, friendly people and dogs, several dog parks, a great vet, lots of walks and play, and a pond to observe from our glass-enclosed lanai. Please consider us for adopting a lucky dog and lucky humans match!
