Pets: Kitsune gets along with SOME pets but does best with slow, structured introductions and clear boundaries. An adopter experienced with Shiba behavior is strongly preferred.
Children: Any children in the home must be calm, respectful, and dog-savvy, with a solid understanding of proper canine boundaries.
Ideal Home: Kitsune needs a committed adopter who is home often, has a secure yard, and can provide plenty of outdoor adventures and stimulating activities. He’ll shine in an environment with routine, guidance, and lots of enrichment.

Hello and happy new year. I would love to know if Kitsune is still available for adoption? I’m so intrigued by this breed because they remind me of Jindos. I love their look, demeanor and size. I currently have a lab mix who is 4 years old and would enjoy having a buddy to play with.
Hi Gigi, Kitsune has been returned and we will be looking for a new home for him. He did not work out with the dog that was in the home. We replied earlier after your last question but maybe you did not see it. Kitsune was returned from his foster to adopt home because he did not get along with the shiba in the home. We won’t be able to adopt him out to anyone with a dog. I am so sorry about that
I just got divorced after three years , but I fell in love with a shiba that my wife rescued before we got married , and I thought ilthe shiba breed is the perfect fit for me and my thirteen year old daughter. Hi Nina Kitsune has never been around a cat and his personality tells us he probably would not be good with a cat or other small animals.
We are interested in Kitsune if still available for adoption. We had previously rescued a Shiba from your organization many years ago. He passed away a few years back. We have no other dogs or pets in the home. We have an 11 year old boy who is great with dogs. My husband and I both work from home and have a fenced in backyard. My mom also lives with us and is retired so usually always at least one person home.
If Kitsune is still available please let me know and what next steps would be.
